Perhaps it is the laid back chilled out nature of Mick himself that shines through like the setting Balinese sun. Whatever it may be Mick's is as good as it gets when it comes to a quick (from Australia), relaxing and relatively cheap escape.
From the incredibly friendly staff serving up delicious food on request to the massages offered at sunset or simply sipping a chilled Bintang beer it is easy to look at the big developed resorts in the far off distance and wonder why you would want to be anywhere else.
Whether it is trying to surf, wandering to Dreamlands for the afternoon or exploring the many bars and restaurants along Bingin Beach there is enough to keep you as active as you want or as inactive as you please.
Oh, and did I mention the food?
The only bad thing is the guilt you feel when settling the bill.
"How could I possible have drank and eaten so much in a week and it only costs this much?"
Mick's Place is a true get lost favourite when it comes to a chilled out escape.
