The west coast of Mexico stretches down the Pacific Ocean winding along beach after beach. From the hustle and tustle of American tourist traps to deserted stretches of sand with only a hammock and the smell of fresh seafood on a barbecue teasing the senses there are few better places to chase sunsets.
One such beach lazing just south of the surfy hang out Puerto Escondido
is Zipolite. Perched at the northern end with a natural rock wall providing
a sense of privacy is El Alquimista, a rambling gathering of beach
bungalows, cliff cabanas and one of the most romantic beach
restaurants in the south of Mexico.
Days are yours to wander to white sands, snorkel with turtles, sip icy marguritas and dine on sumtuous Mexican fare ending snuggled up with the ocean breeze and the sounds of the waves to put you to sleep.
