about us - inspiring travel

get lost is an independently published international travel magazine. There is no other magazine like it in Australia.

Born out of frustration at seeing the same old holidays, experiences and trips in other travel mags, get lost has always dared to be different. Since 2004, we have been inspiring travellers to explore the world and take incredible holidays that won't be found in tourist brochures and advertorial driven publications.

Combining world-class photography with fun and engaging writing, we uncover the best of the best in global travel. We focus on the 'experience' of travel much more than the facts and figures; we recommend a guidebook or the internet for all the fiddly bits. Instead, we aim to be inspiring – it is our motto and our mantra. If you're looking for travel experiences that are unique, boutique, exciting, adventurous, cultural and – most of all – fun, then this magazine is for you.

get lost is an authentic voice in the world of travel.

Justin Jamieson

Justin Jamieson

Founder and Publisher

Justin Jamieson is the Founder and Publisher of get lost. Justin's passion for travel has led him to all corners of the globe and inspired him to create an authentic publication for like-minded travellers. He hoped that publishing get lost would somehow appease the insatiable travel bug within him. Unfortunately, it has made it worse.

He has authored and photographed best-selling books such as Unforgettable Places To See Before You Die, Unforgettable Islands to Escape to Before You Die and Footprint Travel Photography. Mark Eveleigh

Mark Eveleigh

Photojournalist

Though accused of ‘borderline insanity’ by the editors of Maxim Magazine, Mark Eveleigh (www.markeveleigh.com) prides himself on being a clear-sighted and versatile photojournalist. Undercover news assignments have taken him from besieged Zimbabwean farms to high-security Bolivian prisons, but charging African elephants, Spanish fighting bulls and a randy Peruvian llama have taught him the real importance of 'journalistic footwork.' He is also founder of The WideAngle photo agency – www.thewideangle.com.

Lani Jensen

Lani Jensen

Travel Writer

Lani Jensen began her travelling life at a young age and went on to spend years exploring Australia by any means. After nearly
circumnavigating the entire country by boat and a few years in the Kimberley, she flung herself over seas and embarked on a series of 'zig zag' the world trips. Now based in Melbourne, Lani works as a freelance photographer for various publications, travels with and photographs the Choir of Hard Knocks, and teaches photography to the homeless.

Paul Tansley

Paul Tansley

Travel Writer

It may have been from being born in the Cook Islands, or from growing up in Byron Bay, but something has given Paul Tansley a real love for the ocean and the relaxed lifestyle that goes with it. His travels have taken him all over the world, but South and Central America have more recently been favourites, spending many months living and travelling from Chile to Colombia to Costa Rica and everywhere in between, before ending up back at his home base in Melbourne.
